Gunman killed by officer, police car flips in chaotic St. Louis incident

St. Louis police are trying to sort out a chaotic scene near Manchester Avenue just west of Hampton Avenue this afternoon.
Authorities say a gunman was shot in the chest in an exchange of gunfire with a police officer, and a police car coming to the scene crashed and flipped on Manchester.
The gunman was declared dead later at a hospital. The officer in the car that crashed was injured but is expected to be OK, according to police and fire spokesmen
