*The District is currently collecting door prizes, including but not limited to Gift Cards to various locations such as grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Target, Macy’s, etc.; Boxes or Bottles of Detergent; Complimentary Meal Coupons; Movie Tickets; Personal Hygiene Items such as bars of soap, deodorant, etc.; Toilet tissue; Paper Towels; Hand Sanitizers; and Toothpaste/Toothbrushes. Free City Pools Open June 13th, 2011
Outdoor City pools will open on June 13th and will remain open through August 19th for the 2011 summer season. Pool entrance is free to City residents.  Pool hours are as follows:
Outdoor Pools
  • Chambers           noon – 6:00 p.m.                                 7 days/week
  • Fairgrounds        noon – 6:00 p.m.                                 7 days/week
  • Marquette          noon – 7:00 p.m.                                 7 days/week
Indoor Pools
  • Wohl                     noon – 5:00 p.m.                                 Mon-Sat
  • Tandy                    noon – 5:00 p.m.                                 Mon-Fri
  • 12th & Park          noon – 5:30 p.m.                                 Mon-Fri
  • Cherokee            noon – 5:00 p.m.                                 Mon-Sat
The City’s swimming pools are open daily and provide free swimming lessons.
