Hi Jennifer,
I would be grateful if you would forward this email to your community contacts working on neighborhood anticrime initiatives -- informing them of a free, highly informative presentation on Monday, Feb. 6, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m at UM-St. Louis' Millennium Student Center Century Room C.
"Hot spot" policing is the inaugural program being pursued by the Public Safety Partnership formed by the Office of the Mayor, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, UM-St. Louis' Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
Next week, David Weisburd, an internationally acclaimed criminologist and a leading authority on place-based policing, will be coming to St. Louis.
Dr. Weisburd will be meeting with Mayor Slay and a group of police commanders on the morning of February 6, and that afternoon will be giving a talk at the university, open to the public free of charge.
He will be presenting "findings from a forthcoming Oxford University Press Book that identifies a different way of
looking at the crime problem by examining why specific streets in a city have specific crime trends over time."

I have attached a flyer with more details.
Many thanks.
