March 7: What’s Working in St. Louis Neighborhoods - Forum

Community Development Corporations: Focus on Art as a Revitalization Tool
Community Development Corporations (CDCs) are nonprofit community-based organizations that work on a variety of initiatives related to housing, commercial development, youth programming, etc. Join in for a series of conversations with leaders of St. Louis area CDCs, exploring how they are making a difference in their neighborhoods. Dr. Todd Swanstrom, Des Lee Professor of Community Collaboration and Public Policy Administration at UM-St. Louis, will lead the discussions. These sessions are free and open to the public. This session will focus on art as a revitalization tool. Panelists for this session will be Mel Watkin, UMSL Photography Project; Sister Mary Ann Nestel, Carondelet Housing Corporation; and Dayna Kriz, Rebuild Foundation. The session will be held at the J.C. Penney Conference Center, Room 202, UM-St. Louis, from noon to 1:15 PM. Bring your lunch; drinks provided. Read more about this event, information
