ST. LOUIS, MO. May 10, 2012 – Metro Academic and Classical High School
has been recognized as the #1 school in the state of Missouri for
providing exceptional career and college preparation according to U.S.
News and World Report’s ranking of America’s Best High Schools. Metro is
also the ONLY school in the state of
Missouri to make the national top 100 ranking this year, earning a Gold
Medal, and is the ONLY school in the state of Missouri to make U.S. News
& World Report’s America’s Best High Schools top 100 list since
2009.
Furthermore, the District is proud to honor Carnahan
High School of the Future, which made its debut as the #17 school for
the state of Missouri, earning recognition as a Silver Medal school.
Other SLPS schools recognized included Clyde C. Miller Career Academy,
Bronze Medal; Northwest Academy of Law, Bronze Medal; and Soldan
International Studies High School, Bronze Medal.
