February 15: Sustainable Materials and Service Procurement Practices Interactive forums for local governments, leaders, advocates and community members.
Join FOCUS St. Louis, Sustainable St. Louis and the St. Louis Chapter of the USGBC for the fourth of a series of informative workshops about creating sustainable communities in the St. Louis region. This workshop will deal with Sustainable Materials and Service Procurement practices. Speakers for this forum will be Deborah Frank, Vice President of Sustainability at the Missouri Botanical Garden and Jaysen Christensen, Assistant to the City Administrator at the city of Creve Coeur. Key take-aways will include economic and quality-of-life benefits, best practices and funding opportunities. The discussion starts at 7:45 AM and ends around 9 AM, with coffee and bagels served starting at 7:30. The session is on Tuesday, February 15 at the Carondelet Community Center, 930 Holly Hills Avenue, St. Louis. The cost is $10.
