City of St. Louisto Offer Free Summer Day Camps
Long-term and week-long camps available to City residents
The City of St. Louis is proud to offer a wide array of free summer day camps. Long-term day camps will operate from June 13th through June 29th. These day camps are available for youths ages 7-12 and are provided on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These camps will offer a variety of activities, including swimming, soccer, field trips, fishing, games, arts and crafts, movie days, etc.* These day camps will be offered at the following sites:Wohl                1515 North Kingshighway                                (314) 367-2292

The City of St. Louis is offering a day camp for children ages 4-6 on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lindenwood Park.
Parents and guardians may apply for the above camps in person at any City recreation centers or by calling (314) 289-5320.
The City of St. Louis Department of Playtime Recreation is providing a series of one-week and two-week camps for youths ages 7-17. These camps, funded by the Proposition P 1/8th cent sales tax, will focus on tennis, football and basketball, soccer, track, and theater at parks and locations throughout the City. These camps are co-ed and free of charge, but space is limited. Registration will close when camps near capacity. City residents will be given priority registration.
Parents can register their child(ren) for one or more of the following camps:
Tennis: Department of Playtime Recreation and instructors from Just Us Tennis Foundation will offer week-long tennis camp sessions. Youths ages 7-15 will work on fundamental tennis skills. Racquets and balls will be provided.
Football and Basketball: Coaches from the Demetrious Johnson Charitable Foundation will teach fundamentals of football and basketball as well as teamwork, communication, sportsmanship, and the importance of education. Youth football is no-contact. This camp is open to youths ages 8-17. Participants will be grouped based on age and skill level.
Soccer: Department of Playtime Recreation and the Midwest Soccer Academy instructors will provide youth ages 7-15 a series of summer soccer camps. Campers will learn soccer skills along with the importance of cooperation and teamwork. All enrolled in the soccer camp will receive a free soccer ball.
Track: Department of Playtime Recreation, former University of Missouri Running Back Don Johnson, and YL sports are providing youth ages 8-17 the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of track and field. The emphasis of this program is to improve conditioning and speed through track workouts.
Theater: Department of Playtime Recreation and Stray Dog Theater are proud to present an introduction to the performing arts for youth ages 8-15. Professional staff will guide the creative process in which students will participate in hands-on script writing, acting exercises, costume design, and set construction. Each two-week camp will conclude with a staged production for family and friends.
