WHAT: Garden
Brick Dedication & Neighbors Naturescaping Workshop
WHEN:
Saturday June 9, 9:30 a.m. to Noon
WHERE: Brightside
Demonstration Garden, adjacent to Brightside St. Louis office , 4646
Shenandoah Avenue on southeast corner of Kingshighway and Vandeventer
WHY: Donors will be recognized for their support of Phase I of
the Demonstration Garden plus Phase II will be announced.
Garden
visitors will be able to pick up the application packet for the
Neighbors Naturescaping greening program which includes many Missouri
Department of Conservation publications to help learn about plants
native to Missouri. Leading environmental organizations and state
departments will be present to discuss Missouri native plants,
Stormwater Management Best Practices and the components in Brightside’s
garden that can be replicated at home, in neighborhood projects and in
community development projects.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Refreshments at 9:30 a.m.; Brick Dedication and Phase II Announcement at
10:00 a.m.; Visit with environmental organizations until 11:00 a.m.;
Native plant discussion begins at 11:00
